What to Expect
Massage Therapy
A Moon Massage is a journey to the well within. Slow, gentle and rhythmic, like lapping waves at the ocean’s edge, a firm and comforting touch guides the body to a state of deep relaxation, an inner sanctuary where your own natural healing energy and creative power flow freely. A Moon Massage coordinates elements of traditional Swedish massage, Thai compression, and Usui Reiki with your deep breathing to release old tensions and create space within the body.
90 to 120 minute sessions are recommended for this experience. Deep tissue techniques can be incorporated if necessary, but a firm, gentle pressure is often all that is needed to encourage tight muscles to unfold. Hot stones, medi-cupping and reflexology may be incorporated upon request.

Reiki Therapy
Reiki is the union of two Japanese words, “Rei,” meaning “consciousness” or “intelligence,” and “Ki,” meaning “life force energy”. Reiki has its roots in Zen buddhism, and recognizes the intelligent energy that flows through all life. A reiki session uses a light touch, held in place for a few minutes at a time in key areas throughout the body, to help restore your energetic body to freely flowing ease and induce a state of healing serenity. Many benefits may arise from this Zen state, including increased energy, heightened creativity, deeper sleep, reduction of chronic pain and other symptoms, spontaneous muscular realignment, and of course, enduring feelings of peace and joy.
Reiki sessions can be anywhere from 30 to 120 minutes, with shorter sessions focusing on one or two specific areas and longer sessions addressing the entire body.

What to Expect
Hot Stone Therapy
Hot stone therapy is a treatment that combines Swedish massage with the placement of smooth, flat, heated basalt stones at key acupressure points along the spine, in the palms of the hands, along the legs and between the toes. Basalt stones are typically found in riverbeds, created when iron-rich hot lava is quickly cooled in water. The high iron content of the stones helps them retain heat, making them excellent aids in massage therapy. The warmth and weight of the stones has an instantly soothing effect, encouraging chronically stiff joints and tense muscles to soften and allow deeper pressure to be applied during your massage.
Hot stones can be incorporated into a 90 or 120 minute massage.

What to Expect
Craniosacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is a very gentle, non-invasive treatment that can relieve musculoskeletal tension in the head, neck and spine. This can soothe pain, and release both physical and emotional stress. It can treat migraines, help restore cranial mobility, and ease restrictions of the head, neck, jaw and nerves resulting from traumatic injury, chronic postural issues or TMJ dysfunction.
You may remain fully clothed and face-up for the duration of a session. Light, sustained touch is used on the feet, sacrum and head to induce deep relaxation. You may be gently repositioned to normalize the rhythmic flow of cerebrospinal fluids.
A session is typically 60 minutes or more, and can be part of a longer massage or reiki treatment.

What to Expect
Chair Massage
Chair massage can be a great introduction to massage for newcomers. Sessions are fully clothed, relatively short, and focus primarily on the back, neck and shoulders, so they are a perfect fit for office and event settings as well. Using a combination of traditional Swedish and deep tissue techniques, even a brief session can make a world of difference in posture and work-related tension. Book a chair for parties, festivals, employee appreciation days, etc.
Chair massage can also help keep your bodywork routine accessible if an injury or medical condition prevents you from enjoying table massage. Session length and location can be determined by you. Outdoor chair massage is especially lovely, weather permitting.
